Luis Astudillo Peiretti

Mayor Luis Astudillo Peiretti was born 46 years ago in Iquique, into a hardworking family characterized by a deep sense of solidarity. He lived in France for 10 years and returned to Chile as a teenager. Later, thanks to a scholarship, he studied medicine in Cuba, returning to the country determined to contribute to the healthcare model. He worked at the “La Feria” and “Dr. Amador Neghme” clinics, and then at the “Dr. Solorzano” SAPU.

On the family level, he is the partner of Daniela and the father of Simón. He is the son of Luis and Luz and brother of Danisa and Melanie. As a professional, he is an idealistic doctor whose vision is social justice.

As Mayor of Pedro Aguirre Cerda, his commitment is unwavering: “I will work to vindicate the rights of our community, address its most urgent needs, and, above all, I will repay the love and trust I have received all these years from all the residents of my beloved commune of Pedro Aguirre Cerda.”

Furthermore, Mayor Astudillo prioritizes transparency and impeccable ethics in his conduct as mayor: “I am committed to leading a transparent, honest, and participatory municipal administration, with efficient, relevant, timely, and realistic responses to improve the quality of life for our entire community.”
